Missed your workplace flu clinic? Your options

Ask your organiser first. Some workplaces offer a catch-up clinic or a flu voucher for people who miss the clinic, but not all do.

Your options

  1. A catch-up clinic. Ask your organiser whether there's another clinic day you can move to, then cancel your original slot.
  2. A flu voucher. If your workplace offers vouchers for people who can't make the clinic, your organiser will tell you how to get one. The voucher is for you, the employee, and works at any participating store of the pharmacy chain you choose, anywhere in the country, and only that chain. If it isn't working, see My voucher code isn't working.
  3. Your GP or a pharmacy. If your workplace offers neither, you can have the flu shot at a GP or pharmacy. You may need to pay, unless you're eligible for a government-funded vaccine, as everyone aged 65 and over is. In Australia, check who is eligible on health.gov.au (some GPs and pharmacies still charge a consultation or service fee). In New Zealand, check who is eligible on Pharmac.

If you know you'll miss it

Use the reschedule or cancel link in your first confirmation email as early as you can (or reply to that email, or email flu@corporatecare.com.au), and let your organiser know.

If you miss it on the day

Tell your organiser or email us. If the nurses are still on site, ask them. They can generally fit in people without a booking, but there's no guarantee. You complete the consent form on the nurse's device before your shot.
